I measure every Grief I meet

Statue of hugging boy

I came across the poem thanks to Austin Kleon’s newsletter Cosmic nonsense. The poem he was reading was Emily Dickinson’s “Knows how to forget!”, which I enjoyed. I was inspired to look at the other Emily Dickison poems and this one really stood out. As I continue to live with my grief it is always nice to read I’m not alone. I hope you enjoy “I measure every Grief I meet” by Emily Dickinson.

Another poem by Emily Dickinson, recommended by Austin Kleon is ‘I fear a Man of fugal Speech’.
